Board your flight to the Kingdom of Bhutan this morning, where you will meet on arrival our guide and driver and transferred to your hotel in the Bhutanese capital of Thimphu. There’s a stop en route in Chuzom to admire its stupas (Buddhist shrines) and a visit to Tachogang Bridge, before checking into your renowned hotel. Discover around Thimphu today including a stop at the National Memorial Chorten. After that, visit Buddha Point before visiting Farmers centenary market and then to Trashichoe Dzong.

After Breakfast, there’s much to discover around Thimphu today including visit to Folk heritage Museum. After lunch, visit archery ground to see the national game of Bhutan and after that travel to the Motithang Takin Preserve to see the takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Round off the day by visiting Bhutan Postal Office and then free walk through Thimphu City.

As you travel to Phobjikha today, via the Dochula Pass(3150m), stupas stud sheer valleys, sacred mani walls detail the landscape and colourful prayer flags dance on mountain breezes. You will drive further east from Punakha via Lawa La pass (3200m) and then descend to the beautiful valley of Phobjikha. Phojikha is a winter home for the heavenly bird called Black Necked Crane which migrates in winter from Tibet. Visit Gangtey monastery and after that walk down through the valley enjoying the Phojikha valley view through pristine forest. Close the day by visiting crane information center.

After breakfast we will drive back to Punakha. In Punakha visit to Punakha Dzong, the Palace of Great Happiness. After lunch visit suspension bridge over the male river and then drive to Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery perched high above the Punakha.

Today we will visit Chimmi Lhakhang which is known as temple of fertility. Returning to Paro today, check into your hotel and enjoy lunch. This afternoon, visit the city’s former watchtowers, Ta Dzong and Paro Dzong, which are now fascinating museums housing extensive collections of national and historic artifacts.  We will witness the Paro Festival.

Today we will witness the last day of the Paro Festival with unfurling of the Thongdrel (Thangka Painting). After that in the day time you will have the public audience by His Majesty the King and other royal families. Towards evening, on a visit to a local farm house, you‘ll find that tradition still informs much of Bhutanese daily life. Try out authentic Bhutanese hot stone bath.

Today we will take a day excursion to Haa valley and the come back to Paro. While erounting to Haa, we will take a drive via the highest pass called Chelela Pass (3988mt). From Chelela Pass, on clear weather you can find the second highest mountaion in Bhutan Called Mt. Jomolhari.

Following early breakfast, we will be making the hike up to one of the key highlights in Bhutan today: the Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang Monastery. The total distance of the hike is 4 miles (6.4 km) roundtrip with the highest elevation at 3 km. On average, it takes between four to five hours to do the round trip hike, plus one more hour to tour the monastery. The Taktsang Monastery was first built in 1692 around the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where Guru Padmasambhava have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. He rode on the female tiger, which is his spiritual consort called Tashi Kheuyuden. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan and is the tutelary deity of Bhutan.
